Our First Project meeting!!

This is the first blog of the journey to our complete game project. Follow this page to explore how we as a group progress through the making of our game.

First meeting

On the 11th of February we had our first group meeting in the library. In this meeting, we first decided to create a theme for our game to allow us to develop our ideas for our game. We wanted to create a game which was both enjoyable to play and create, but also we wanted to create a game which was original. Our initial ideas were to develop an puzzle themed game such as an escape room. We finally decided as a group that our game should involve an Alien escapee theme as it would be original and interesting to create. 

Developing our game idea

After choosing a theme for our game, we started to expand our ideas to find the most suitable storyline for our game. We had a discussion amongst each member of the group  developing our storyline into an interesting game idea. Next we planned out the structure of our game. We decided that our game was going to consists of an alien we crash-landed on Earth and has to escape a government compound similar to Area 51. The Player has to play as the alien and has to run around the compound to find parts to fix their UFO without getting spotted the the guards. Once the UFO is fixed the player can then escape the compound.
